Aspen Technologies was
requested to develop best solution for swinging
all T-1 data circuits connecting Salt Lake City,
Utah data warehouse to Oakland, California and San
Diego. California data warehouses from old carrier
to new carriers, as well as retrieve Cisco WAN equipment
from various branch closures and deliver back to
Salt Lake City, Utah data warehouse. |

Aspen Technologies researched and
performed price comparison of travel arrangements
for technician's flying, car rental, lodging and
per diem as to having a technician travel to California
with company truck and performing the following
duties in a company vehicle.
Extension of circuits at all three sites, as well
as gathering WAN equipment, proper packaging of
equipment to prevent damage to equipment when shipping
or delivering equipment back to Salt Lake City,
Utah Data Warehouse.
Client authorized Aspen Technologies to dispatch
technician and company vehicle to complete all aspects
of project.
Aspen Technologies technician drove from Salt Lake
City, Utah to San Diego, California to meet with
personnel in California to confirm equipment pick
up points through out California as well as keep
inventory of all equipment and verified all data
circuit Ids. |

Through out the course of four
days the following duties occurred:
Extended three T-1 circuits from Telco point of
presence in San Diego to WAN equipment, extended
three T-1 circuits from Telco point of presence
in Los Angeles to WAN equipment, extended two
T-1 circuits from Telco point of presence in Oakland
to WAN equipment, verified that all T-1 connections
were operational prior to departure, picked abandoned
WAN equipment from individual sites at all three
locations and performed inventory of all model
numbers and serial numbers for documentation purposes,
and delivered the abandoned WAN equipment described
above to the Salt Lake City Data Warehouse. |
